Our Level of Care

What Is Residential Addiction Treatment?

Residential treatment, also called inpatient rehab, provides round-the-clock structure, clinical supervision, and recovery support. It’s the most comprehensive level of care available for men who need stability and protected time to focus fully on healing, away from the people, places, and pressures that fueled their substance use.

At Healing Pines, men live on-site and move through a daily blend of individual therapy, group sessions, physical fitness, mindfulness, and outdoor experiences. Every day is intentionally designed to heal mind, body, and spirit, not just manage symptoms or stabilize the next 30 days.

Why Choose a Men’s Residential Program

Men often carry the weight of expectations to stay strong, steady, and in control, even when life has become unmanageable. In a coed setting, that pressure to perform can quietly block real recovery. Our men’s-only residential program is built so clients can finally set that armor down.

Here, men talk openly about fear, anger, grief, and hope without judgment or performance. Group therapy turns into brotherhood, accountability starts to feel like teamwork, and healing happens alongside other men who understand the experience instead of in isolation. For many of the men we treat, this is the first time they’ve felt safe enough to address trauma and the emotional drivers behind addiction.

Safe and Private Environment

A Space Built for Comfort and Growth

Our residence combines warmth and privacy. Each man stays in a comfortable room with a queen bed and an en-suite bathroom that includes A/C and a kitchenette, with shared meals in the lodge and open outdoor spaces that invite reflection. With only 6 to 8 men in residence at a time, group sizes stay small enough that staff and peers know each person by name from week one.

Every man is known, seen, and supported. No one is lost in the crowd or rushed through a one-size-fits-all track.

“WOW!!! Healing Pines Recovery is truly something special. I’ve been through other programs before, but nothing compares to the level of care, knowledge, and compassion I experienced here.

The property itself is breathtaking — 40 acres of peace, with trails that feel designed for sunrises and sunsets. The living spaces are comfortable and spacious, and you never feel cramped or overlooked.

What really sets Healing Pines apart is the staff. Paul, the founder, has built an incredible team of people who radiate love, knowledge, and kindness. You can tell they’re here for the right reasons — their dedication and selflessness shine through in everything they do.”

Our Facility

The Healing Pines Difference

Our structured schedule helps men re-establish the kind of daily rhythm and balance that addiction tends to erode over time.

A Typical Day At Healing Pines

  • Morning: Sunrise meditation, breathwork, and breakfast in the dining lodge.
  • Midday: Group therapy, educational workshops, and outdoor experiential activities on the property.
  • Afternoon: Individual counseling, fitness training, or yoga sessions.
  • Evening: Community dinners, reflective journaling, and fireside group sharing.

Each day blends clinical therapy, peer support, and hands-on healing so men strengthen both emotional awareness and the practical coping skills they’ll carry into life after treatment.

Therapies & Modalities

Therapies and Modalities That Support Lasting Change

At Healing Pines, we combine science-backed clinical treatment with holistic practices, so recovery addresses the full range of factors that contribute to addiction.

Holistic Modalities

  • Outdoor experiential therapy on the 40-acre property
  • Yoga therapy and mindfulness training
  • Animal-assisted therapy with our resident donkeys, goats, chickens, llamas, and equine partners
  • Physical fitness and nutrition support

After Detox

Transitioning Into Residential Care After Detox

Many of the men who come to Healing Pines arrive directly from medical detox. We coordinate with trusted detox partners across Colorado so the handoff happens cleanly, often the same day, with no break in clinical support.

Our admissions team handles the logistics, paperwork, and provider-to-provider communication so men can focus on recovery instead of phone calls and intake forms from day one.

How Long Does Residential Treatment Last?

Length of stay varies based on each man’s clinical needs and progress. Most clients stay 30 to 45 days, though some men extend their stay when their treatment plan calls for it. Our focus isn’t a number on the calendar. It’s readiness. When men leave Healing Pines, they leave with the confidence, tools, and aftercare plan to sustain the recovery they’ve built here.

When residential care is complete, most clients step down into our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), which lets them keep clinical momentum with greater day-to-day flexibility.

Our Location

The Colorado Setting — A Sanctuary for Renewal

Set against open sky and pine-covered hills about an hour from Denver and Colorado Springs, our campus offers a quiet escape from the noise that often surrounds active addiction.

The 40-acre property includes walking and mountain bike trails, an outdoor lounge, a fitness center, gardens, pickleball and disc golf courts, basketball, a bowling alley, an arcade, a theater, a rec room, and designated meditation zones. The variety of amenities helps men rebuild a daily life that doesn’t revolve around using.

Most men describe the environment as restorative: far enough removed from outside stress to think clearly, but close enough to real life that recovery feels grounded.

“The facility is outstanding and creates a perfect environment for recovery. We were never once concerned for our son’s safety or well-being. The program is holistic, and very personalized — key parts of their success formula.”

The leadership and staff were committed to my success.

Paul is a man of integrity which flows through his team. I have been to other recovery programs and HPR stands far above them all. The small group structure offers a more intimate and personalized experience. This was so much more beneficial to my recovery than facilities preaching a "one-size-fits-all" solution to larger and fragmented groups. It was like having personal and knowledgeable therapists dedicated to me for a full month! They went out of their way to understand the root of my challenges and construct a path for improvement that is unique and relatable to me. This was a huge benefit!

It saved my life, in every sense.

I spent a month at Healing Pines Recovery. The actual location itself is unreal. A beautiful cabin lodge, with gorgeous scenery. The rooms are large, queen beds, very comfortable! Great bathrooms with great showers! There is a pool table, slam jam, (Christine! 😉 frisbee golf, and daily access to a nearby gym. The property also has a pickle ball court that was used daily, Zoey the counselor beat us men constantly!

Clay M

My experience with Healing Pines Recovery has been wonderful.

My husband was their client, and they helped him be able to help himself. He is doing amazing! I think the combination of counseling, physical labor, meditation, AA, and just the beauty of the place itself all had a very positive impact on him. They really cared about him, and that did not stop just because he came home. Also they have counseling for the families and it has really helped me a lot. Heather is awesome! I thank God that we had them in our lives when we were most vulnerable.

Susan M

We wanted to share our gratitude to the staff.

Our son was under the care of Healing Pines recently and we wanted to share our gratitude to the staff. There were many challenges in his pursuing treatment, and thankfully Paul and Heather C helped us navigate all of them skillfully with patience and compassion.

You'll get your life back!

Healing Pines Recovery is/was instrumental in setting me up for long term success in my recovery journey. I've been to treatment centers in the past and HPR is nothing like anything I've attended before. They're very small, intimate, and hands-on approach to recovery was exactly what I was looking for when seeking treatment. I knew that a large, one size fits all program like those offered by many other treatment centers in Colorado wouldn't provide me with the help I desperately needed. Paul and his Team are incredible and I would highly recommend HPR to anyone who needs help starting their recovery journey. Big shout out to James for all of his guidance during my time at HPR. His grace, knowledge, understanding, and direction were/are key to my continued success in recovery. One HUGE piece of the puzzle I love is the after care I've received from HPR... I am in constant contact with Paul, James, and many other staff members through the their alumni programs and it has helped me so much with life after HPR. This program was truly a miracle in my life and I know it will be for many other men struggling with addiction and/or alcoholism. You'll get your life back!

This is truly a great recovery facility.

My learning experience here was something I’ll take with me throughout my whole life. The staff here will always be a part of my family and I am beyond thankful for everything they have done and continue to do for my well-being.

I can't speak more highly of Healing Pines Recovery & Addiction Center.

It is located in a beautiful Colorado location with lots of outdoor activities and fresh air. They have a very knowledgeable and professional staff that goes above and beyond to meet your needs.

Riley K

I couldn’t have been at a more amazing place to begin this journey.

Seriously an amazing place. Everything from how beautiful the house and the property it sits on down to every person staffed there was nothing less than perfect. More than highly recommended in every sense. If you’re reading this and trying to find the right place for treatment and recovery I would absolutely look no further. Everyone’s recovery is different and we all need a comfortable place with people we can trust through this battle, healing pines understood that everyone’s path is different and they 100% cater to that. I couldn’t have been any luckier with finding Healing Pines. I won’t go any deeper and start to thank everyone there individually, But I want to express my gratitude to everyone on the HEALING PINES TEAM. Without you all, my path in sobriety would not look anywhere near the way it looks today. Seriously from the bottom of my heart thank you!

Residential Recovery as the Foundation of Lifelong Sobriety

Residential treatment isn’t the end of recovery. It’s the start of a longer transformation. The men we work with often describe Healing Pines as a reset: a return to structure, honesty, and connection that addiction had pushed out of reach.

We stay engaged long after a man leaves our property. That includes step-down support through our IOP, aftercare planning, and an alumni network that reinforces the work done here. Recovery doesn’t end when you leave the gate. It expands into every part of life that addiction had previously narrowed.
